The Rally & Ride for Remington’s Heart was a huge success! More people attended than we could even imagine… and that is INCREDIBLE!
Over 60 bikes and more than 100 people raised over $4,000 for a very special cause.
A huge thanks to all of the businesses who sponsored the event, and the bars who allowed the poker run to make stops during the fundraiser. We would like to thank Mr. Rockwood for the amazing post-rally performance! And thank you SO much to everyone who volunteered their time and effort to make the fundraiser operate smoothly.
A special thanks to Brent Taylor for leading the bikers, and coordinating with local law enforcement during the 140 mile ride. Additionally, we would like to thank Toni Huber for putting the fundraiser together.
The Bates County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriffs Office, and Harrisonville Missouri Police Department went above and beyond to make sure all bikers were safe by escorting them throughout the ride. We heard multiple compliments toward the men & women in blue who stopped traffic, allowing the bikers to safely maneuver and stay in one group.
There are several individuals who helped us make this day amazing! We are very thankful to have such wonderful friends & supporters. Remington’s Heart assists families of babies and children with congenital heart defects in the Kansas City area.
Being a new organization, we are very limited on funding. The organization has no paid employees, which means more of your donations support the cause.
We are currently working with two families who requested assistance just before this fundraiser. The money raised through the Rally & Ride fundraiser will go toward paying bills to ensure these families can go home to electricity, running water, and food. It also helps with the fuel to travel back and forth to the hospital. We wish Remington’s Heart could assist all local Heart Families, but the truth is, we can’t. As a result of your generous donations, fundraisers, and the continued support of the community… Remington’s Heart will be able to help more CHD families in the future.
All great things start out small ♥️.
